Roy Clark & Joe Pass Play Hank Williams is an album by the jazz guitarist Joe Pass and the country guitarist Roy Clark that was released in 1994. The producer Ralph Jungheim came up with the idea of putting Clark and Pass in the studio together. He first approached Clark, who readily agreed, calling Pass "my idol". Genious!!!!
Eggcellent.
5:10 Mr. Potter
WHO S THE GUITARIST ?? RANEY ? O er
Mr. Carter, its a pleasure hearing you, Mr. Garland, Burrell and Rilley on this album. Everytime I listen it sounds better!
I really like Mehldau. But it's a f..ked up world, where I can't get half of this amount of views in 15 years on all my 120 videos. And I can swing just as hard, folks. Only in that time (1994) I started my life the third time from zero, so didn't really had the chance to mess around with musical career...
What a loss..But how much did he leave to this world? In 10, 20 years it will still be ahead. For those looking for proof of the existence of extraterrestrials, here you will find it! But this applies to many other musicians who lit the spark by indicating the way that others followed. Unfortunately there are too many useless people to do without and they live a long time. What a mystery life is. Thank you Michael for your boundless talent!
What is the second video from? The link doesn't work
WOW Amazing! So Killer! I love Eric Dolphy! THE BEST!
mastering very good .....
🐐
Legend gone too soon 🎺
What's so exciting about these tenor battles is that the players are at their best trying to outdo each other in friendly ways producing incredible improvising and interplay. As accomplished as the players are today I don't think many can duplicate this. These guys didn't consider themselves "artists". They were just jazz saxophonists making money doing what they loved. I'm a tenor player myself and I know what it feels like to play with another tenor or trumpet like this. Pure fun.
My favorite jazz tour... bar none! Every concert in it was just tremendous!
🔥
My friend and family lived around the block form the Vanguard, So I got to see Bill play often as a kid. Cherished memories. He helped me with my soul.
Those 7 times when he didn't went beast mode...
John Swana is a MASTER TRUMPETER! Hate his illness Inspired him to play more ewi. I understand why but I am a trumpet fan so I listen to him on that instrument. Knocks me out every time.
Every time I hear the bogus and cringe worthy claim that Michael Brecker is the greatest saxophone player that ever lived, the first person I think of is Joe Henderson, whose influence on a generation of players - including MB - is not stated nearly enough.
Bellissimo,grazie! Thank you very much
El genio del piano de jazz en un ser humano el la creatividad latente y sublime....
So many great sax players from Butera Coltrane Desmond the number one and always be number one Is Michael if there is such a thing as a saxophone magician Michael Brecker can pull notes of of a hat -----as a musician and sax man for many years he is the ultimate player. if Michael has a band up there I hope some day to get tickets.
Cool
Cool thanks
I lost this jam and is very scares to find😢😢
Dolphy poetic genius❤
Saw him at the Winnipeg Jazz Fest last night for the first time ever. Wow!
Ignore those that make you fearful and sad, that degrade you back towards disease and death. 💚 RUMI

George Duke really sounds like Chick Corea on some of these tracks
Had no idea this was filmed, I need his altissimo fingering system…
did you rip this from the vinyl yourself? the other version i've heard is pitched way lower and i cant figure out which is the actual version
I had no idea Bozzio ever played with BreckerBros. niiiiiiice!!!
Fuuuuuuuuck
Now that's swingin'. THANKS for Bernies bootlegs
17 years old Aaron Parks sounds so matured both musically and socially. I like to believe that he must be incarnated by old musician souls. Such a grateful and very cultured manner in his playing and his talking from very very young age.
Excelente.
Thank you Utube for another hitherto unknown ( too me that is ) musical gem.
Is Scott Lafaro playing bass?
Mike Ehrmantraut on the drums
Wonderful
Oscar was great at IMITATING ART TATUM (who made Oscar QUIT the piano & gave HOROWITZ private lessons). OSCAR couldn't play "GIANT STEPS, INNER URGE" or other modern complex pieces. He's always playing OLD STANDARDS. MCCOY can play ANYTHING, no limits. 🙏🏼
Мне очень нравится коллектив этого ансамбля. Главная изюминка- Eric dolfi. Как раз за месяц до смерти этот великий музыкант достиг пика. Впрочем, надо отдать должное и остальным. Все играют прекрасно!
Freddie was my friend but was also one of the baddest trumpet players of my life.thank you Freddie I miss you!
39:30 is this Joe Henderson on soprano?
Why the hell has no one told me about this before!!!!! ❤😂🎉
Not sure, because it was 62 years ago, but I think this may have been on the Tonight Show when there was still the possibility of hearing good music on popular TV. Steve Allen was the host. It’s also probably the earliest video of this trio.
f#*+ing amazing. Sounds like Trane even in 1951!!😮thank you for posting!! He was only 25 years old here. He passed away at only 40 years of age!🙏
